This Honors College Thesis is a literature review of movement in the elementary school classroom. Movement has been proven to foster cognitive growth, and this thesis examines positive effects in various formats. I compare different methods of movement-centered techniques that have been implemented in classrooms and have been shown to maximize the learning experience for students. The review of the literature shows overwhelming evidence in support of using movement in the elementary classroom.en_US
