Abstract

"Mark Metzler enjoyed an outstanding year in research and creative endeavor. His article, titled 'American Pressures for Financial Internationalization in Japan on the Eve of the Great Depression,' appeared in the 'Journal of Japanese Studies,' a leading journal in the Japan studies field. Metzler also presented four papers at refereed conferences in New York, Ohio, Missouri and Korea, and submitted a book manuscript to a major publisher where it is currently under review."
