The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the lives of individuals across the globe. As physical health was the main concern of experts, a mental health crisis has become apparent within the United States. Previous research has shown a drastic increase of anxiety when it comes to health, contagion, accessing healthcare, and in general. The question is how the paradoxical nature of resilience and optimism interacts with health anxiety within individuals from the United States in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 160 participants were analyzed through crosstabulation to discover the paradoxical nature of the highlighted concepts through empirical data. Results indicated the existence of paradoxical nature between optimism, resilience, and health anxiety then with post-behaviors, xenophobia, and COVID-19 beliefs. The finding of this research study would be beneficial to those in the psychopathology and healthcare fields, patients, and family of those who are struggling with anxiety in relation to COVID-19 by providing support and tailoring a treatment plan.en_US
