"MTD students earn impressive honors"

Abstract

"Many students find inspiring academic opportunities in OU's Department of Music, Theatre and Dance. In 2002, more than 2,000 students, or 13 percent of the student body, took courses in performing arts areas. The number of students claiming a major in the performing arts area has increased every year for more than 10 years, with a more than 200 percent increase since the fall 1995 semester. And student ensembles and productions in 2002 involved both MTD majors and non-majors and included more than 500 students on the stage and behind the scenes."
