The Curse of the Were-Bureaucrat or How I realized that I had finally joined the older generation and become one of them

Every now and then the faculty and administrators of this beloved institution, with the noblest intentions in the world, establish a task force designed to make us a sleeker, newer, more modern, efficient and elegant institution, prepared to progress boldly into the 21st century. And every time, it seems to my jaded eyes that the results are sadly ephemeral.
