"Oakland University will honor eight nurses who exemplify the work of Florence Nightingale, the Briton who in the mid-1800s created the nursing profession, at the Nightingale Awards. The event is Thursday, May 9, at 5:30 p.m. at the Best Western Sterling Inn Conference Center."
