He Dressed the Part

Abstract

He dressed the part of the consummate English professor, but more than that, he lived the part and taught me most of what I know that really matters about what makes great teaching, what is important for students and how to achieve excellence in the classroom. Though I still find his talent somewhat mysterious, my four years of college study with this gifted teacher have inspired my teaching and shaped my career.
