"OU guard named All-American"

Abstract

"OU junior Mike Helms recently was named an honorable mention All-American by the Associated Press for his outstanding season with Oakland's men's basketball team. The guard is OU's first Division I All-American. Named this year's Mid-Continent Conference Player of the Year Helms had a record-breaking season leading the Mid-Con in scoring with a 26.9 average and finishing third in the nation among Division I players."
