dc.description.abstract | School of Nursing and Detroit Health Department team up to develop emergency training program for nurses. Students develop nursing and interpersonal skills during clinical rotations. Faculty investigators research health care concerns in the community. Nurses gain occupational health nursing expertise through new School of Nursing certificate program. SON alumna Judi Ganton expresses her love of nursing in senior-living communities. Dr. John Ylvisaker honors his late wife's memory through a scholarship named after her to support exceptional students. Oakland University and St. John Health work on retention of students with nee Riverview Project. The Henry Ford Cohort (HFC) is designed to support displace autoworkers for nursing careers for the future.
