"Experience the excitement and intrigue of the Prohibition era, a time when blind pigs sprung up around the country and the Purple Gang controlled the smuggled spirits that flowed freely across the Detroit River. To recreate that epoch, Meadow Brook Hall will transform itself into a speakeasy and open its doors for two Thursday evenings, Oct. 16 and Nov. 6, provided, of course, that guests know the password."
