"Winter weather often means snow, and sometimes lots of it, making for dangerous driving conditions and longer commute times. Occasionally, excess snowfall mandates that Oakland University must declare an official closing. Should this happen, students, faculty and staff are advised to refer to several different sources listed in this article to learn whether the university has declared an official closing."
