Abstract

"Oakland University President Gary Russi will present the first-ever National Pre-Symptom Medicine Impact Award to Veronica Atkins, wife of the late Dr. Robert Atkins, on Saturday, June 5, at 6 p.m. at Meadow Brook Theatre. The award is being given in recognition of Atkins' work on weight reduction by generating national awareness of the effects of high carbohydrates on weight gain and obesity."
