Junot Diaz, a Dominican-American fiction writer, winner of the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for his novel "The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao," read and discussed his work with the Oakland University community. This is a rare opportunity to hear what Michiko Kakutani of The New York Times has called "one of contemporary fiction's most distinctive and irresistible new voices." This reading is in conjunction with Celebrating the Liberal Arts Frontiers and Borders theme for the 2010-2011 academic year.en_US
