On April 9, 2012, Oakland University welcomed to campus Steven Pinker of Harvard University for a presentation in the Varner Vitality Lecture Series. Professor Pinker is a professor of psychology and a cognitive neuroscientist, but his research touches on a number of disciplines, including linguistics, history, anthropology, biology, and political science.
