Iraqi Nation-Building in the Honors College
Description
The task of rebuilding Iraq and constructing a democracy there has been compared to past efforts to do the same in post-war Germany and Japan, and, without much exaggeration, it is safe to say that US involvement in Iraq represents the most substantial—and in important ways radical— commitment of US political, military, and economic power in several decades. The preceding constituted the motivation for HC 205, Nationalism and Ethnic Conflict...taught in fall 2003.
