Blame Yourself You can ease the burden on engine than necessary. 2. If your car is equipped with “over drive,” use it when you're in the country on a high gear highway. This permits reduced engine speed and greater mileage per gallon. Excessive speed, by spurts and jerks, burns up more gasoline. You'll get more mileage out of a gallon of gas at moderate speeds than you will as miles per hour mount. 4. Turn off the moter, when your car is parked at the curb. An “idling” motor uses a cup of gasoline in 10 minutes. 5. Keep your tires firm and round. Soft tires overwork the engine. 6. Blue and green, with touches of red, were used to match the rug and provide a background for antique reproduction furniture. Grayish-biue wallpaper, and ceiling beams painted blue add- ed a cooling note to a warm brown and orange office-study planned by the Midwest AID. The same overhead use of blue was seen in the New York chap- ter display, which had a_‘‘blue sky” ceiling to add spaciousness for a mé@dern abstract setting of oversized dining furniture against yellow travertine marble walls. There are rectangular ones with a single ruffle, circular ones with a double ruffle, and a matching runner 14 by 32 inches. Just a quick swish in and out of soapsuds and rinses keeps them fresh and pretty; if you straighten out and finger press ruffles and embroidery when damp, no ironing is needed.
