Robert F. Pack, 63, prominent

for many years, died at his resi- 
dence, 21 Miami Rd., at 9 a m. 
Friday. 
Born in Alpena June 27, 1890, he 
was the son of Arthur and Mar- 
garet Pack. He came to Pontiac 
5S years ago and attended Pon- 
tiac schools and Rensselaer Poly- 
technic Institute. He married Har- 
riett Wales here Aug. 20, 1920. 
Mr. Pack was a retired employe 
of Pontiac Motor Division. His 
father was one of the promoters 
of the early automobile industry 
in Pontiac. 
Mr, Pack was a captain in the 
infantry in World War I, and 
was a member of All Saints 
Episcopal Charch, Roosevelt

to set up a governor’s interdepart- 
mental commission on migratory 
labor—if the call for such a com- 
mission by the Florida Christian 
Ministry to Migrants is honored. 
Such commissions now function in 
Pennsylvania, New Jersey and 
New York states and at the fed- 
eral level in Washington, D. C., 
thereby permitting overall ap 
proaches to solving health, educa- 
tion, welfare and labor needs of 
the men and women who harvest 
the nation's crops. 
At a recent meeting of the Flor- 
ida Ministry's State Committee, 
attended by church men and wom- 
en, community leaders, growers 
and processors, state officials and 
representatives of the cooperating 
body, the National Council of 
Churches’ Division of Home Mis- 
sions, a subcommittee was named 
to explore ways of achieving such 
a commission.

Religious Rally in July

BERLIN W — The Soviet Zone 
government has given the Geman 
Evangelical Church (DEKT) move- 
ment permission to hold its big 
annual rally of Protestat laymen 
in Leipzig July 7-11. 
But the regime reportedly made 
its permission conditional upon 
church leaders refusing to toler- 
ate statements or actios during 
the rally which support the West 
German government's European 
defense policy or are otherwise 
contrary to the Soviet Zone po- 
litical position. 
The Soviet German news agency, 
ADA, said that representatives of 
DEKT had agreed to this condi- 
tion. 
This will be the first time sine 
World War II that the DEKT rally 
will convene in an East German 
city.

sters will know Monday whether 
the Michigan Medical Society ap- 
proves state participation in a na- 
tionwide anti-polio vaccination pro- 
gram. 
Dr. William Bromme, head of the 
society's eight-man executive com- 
mittee, said Friday a decision will 
be matie over the Easter week- 
end. The committee, which has 
power to make decisions for the
