The Council's annual inventory of
traffic safety activities was made
public at a meeting headéi by
Mayor William W. Donaidson,
The Council had a lot to recom:

more posters in school.
It had praise for most of the
city’s safety achievements of 1955,
but also pointed to the 16 traffic
deaths which occurred, nine more
than the.average during the pre-
vious three years.
TWo aspects of the city’s safety
program—public safety education
and safety organization — have
won certificates of achievement
from the Council.
The Council also based its report
on traffic injuries, traffic engineer-
