Administrators and Academic Values

Abstract
What... is a professor at Oakland University to do in the face of an administration with weak academic values? The best advice seems to be that of Voltaire: “one must cultivate one’s own garden.” We must do our teaching and research regardless of the qualities of the administrators who claim to lead us.
