The Women In Science and Engineering program was funded by the National Science Foundation ADVANCE program through a Partnerships for Adaptation, Implementation, and Dissemination (PAID) Grant in 2011-2016. Its aim was to create a comprehensive program in recruitment, retention, and career development of women and under-represented populations in the disciplines of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). After 2016 it was replaced by WISER (Women in Science, Engineering, and Research).
